The Idaho Department of Correction (IDOC) is announcing an upcoming Concession Services Request (CSR) solicitation for a full service commissary program for all IDOC facilities.   

This CSR is being issued for informational and planning purposes to determine the practicality and feasibility of the proposed project. 

IDOC’s long-term vision is for Inmates to utilize technology through kiosks to create a one stop shopping experience for commissary ordering, inmate banking and other similar services. 

The purpose of this CSR project is to solicit responses that encompass the IDOC goals and objectives and will be considered in terms of (i) product variety and pricing; (ii) services and offerings; and (iii) commissions. [read more...]

The Idaho Department of Correction is investigating the apparent suicide of an inmate at Idaho Maximum Security Institution.

At 6:16 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2014, a correctional officer found Richard Damon Dominguez, IDOC #77801, hanging in his cell.  IMSI staff immediately initiated resuscitation measures, which paramedics continued upon their arrival. Dominguez was pronounced dead at 6:56 p.m.

Dominguez was 38 years old (DOB: June 25, 1975). His criminal record included felony convictions for aggravated battery and assault/battery on certain personnel in Kootenai County. He was scheduled to be released on Feb. 16, 2025. [read more...]

April 2014 marked the 20th Anniversary of Pocatello Women’s Correctional Center.  PWCC held a two-day event April 15 and April 17 to honor its staff members. The two-day event was to ensure that every staff member on A and B days and A and B nights would have the opportunity to attend the celebration and feel the recognition that they so deserve.

To show appreciation, all staff members were presented gift bags with a personalized key chain and DVD of the history of PWCC. The event was catered by several local businesses in the community. These businesses have been a part of the Pocatello community for 20 years or more. [read more...]
